Jet Aircraft
Yellow Aircraft offers a line of Jet kits and ARFs* that are hard to beat. From our A-4 to our F-14, our line features a range of aircraft that are suitable to various levels of builders and pilots. Some of our kits feature polyester-glass layups while other kits feature the new carbon reinforced epoxy-glass layup. In our newer kits, the flying surfaces have been reinforced with carbon fiber cloth sandwiched between the foam cores and the balsa sheeting. This system makes for an unbelievably strong, yet light wing or tail. While the polyester kits are more than adequate to stand up to the rigors of DF and turbine flight, the newer kits feature the lighter (yet stronger) epoxy/carbon layup usually reserved for kits costing much more. For more information about polyester and epoxy fuselage layups, please see the FAQ page. To place an order, get a shipping quote or for more information about our Jets, please contact us.
*Our ARFs come to you expertly hand-built, hand-painted and ready for minor final assembly and installation of your engine, landing gear and radio components.
TURBINE
OPERATIONS NOTE:
Although all of Yellow Aircraft's jets have been successfully
built and operated on turbine power, not all of them have been purpose-designed
for turbine use. With a few simple modifications, these aircraft can
be made suitable for use with a variety of turbine powerplants. When
choosing a Yellow Aircraft jet kit, please ask about what mods, if any, may
be necessary to make your kit turbine-suitable. We are happy to explain
in detail what mods may be required for your particular kit.
