Without question, this is one of the most prolific model jet kits to ever hit the market. Since it was first introduced, the Yellow Aircraft F-4E Phantom II has been built and flown by literally hundreds of pilots the world over. This model was introduced at a time when many modelers wanted to build a scale F-4 in the .91-size ducted fan class, but didn’t want to toil over the more laborious kits that were available. After its introduction, the Yellow Aircraft F-4 became instantly popular due to its highly detailed fuselage, pre-sheeted wings/tails and pre-formed hatches. The aircraft is a solid machine in the air, and very stable on the ground. The Yellow Aircraft F-4 is very fast, yet can land very slowly and predictably. On turbine power, the F-4 has proven itself a winner with engines as small as the Wren 44, and as large as the P-120.
